ABOUT THE TREK.

DAY 1

The group (Maximum 15 people) will be driven but truck 2.5 hours to the village of Wieng Haeng. The Trek begins with a 4 hour moderate walk through the nature jungle and hilltops to the village of Lisu and on to a beautiful Karen village where we will be have dinner and sleep overnight in a village shelter or hut.
 

DAY 3

Rise and shine to another day of trekking. Breakfast will be served and then we set off again through beautiful photogenic scenery, villages and poppy fields. After approximately 6 hours we reach our next rest stop, where dinner will be served and a good night's rest will be had by all.

DAY 2

After breakfast we will commence a full day of trekking with the group. We will leave the village in the morning and trek for 7 hours in total. Along the way we will have rest stops and visit the Lahu and Lisu Tribal villages before dinner in a beautiful local village where we will spend the night.
 

DAY 4

The last day of the trek after a filling breakfast we end the trek with a 3 hour walk (up hill) where we will be met by a truck, that will escort you back to the airport, or into Chang- Mai centre, or up to the hill town of Pai if you prefer. 

COSTS


The cost of the trek is US $300 and covers:

  • Transfers to and from Chiang Mai (start and finish)

  • 2 guides with 20 years jungle trekking experience

  • 3 meals per day

  • Additional guides and cooks at overnight locations

  • 2 nights accommodation in hill tribe villages

  • 1 night in forest bamboo camp

  • Building of bamboo rafts
